Richard is a Seattle native who has 30 years of tough and successful advocacy on the frontline in the courtroom. He is fully prepared to go to court. These decades in the courtroom have shown that there is a better method of resolving disputes. Richard advocates the benefits of Mediation and a cost-saving approach to the law. Richard’s success and reputation in the courtroom allow him to negotiate the best possible settlements outside of court.
Richard attended the University of Washington for his Bachelors Degree Class of 1980, (magna cum laude, with Honors in History, Phi Beta Kappa) and the University of Washington School of Law for his Juris Doctor with honors, class of 1986.
Richard is an avid four season fat biker in Central Oregon and enjoys weekend getaways to the San Juan Islands. In Seattle, Richard spends his free time with his wife and their Australian Cattle Dog, Bella, competitive table tennis and cheering on Husky football every fall.
